Business email lists can give you access to millions of business owners and other targeted executives. Many B-to-B marketers already know that email can be an effective customer education, acquisition and retention tool, but if you are just investigating this marketing channel, it is not too late to harness the power of email.
iScope Digital can help you rent or acquire high quality business email lists that comply with the CAN-SPAM act and will get your company in front of a targeted audience.
RENTING OR PURCHASING BUSINESS EMAIL LISTS
WHICH IS RIGHT FOR YOU?
Originally the only option for obtaining business email lists was through a rental (a one-time use with the email broadcast handled by the List Owner). This is a great option with some distinct advantages, but there are also good reasons to consider a purchase. iScope Digital partners with reputable sources of business email lists that provide extended lease or outright purchase options that put you in the driver’s seat in regard to when, how, and how often you broadcast messages to your business email list.
So, rental or purchase? The best option will be unique to your specific situation. Here are some facts to consider:
Renting Business Email Lists
You send your email creative to the List Owner.
The List Owner handles all aspects of deployment of the emails for you. You do not take delivery of the list itself as all aspects of the blast are performed for you.
After the broadcast, you will receive reporting (number of emails opened, number of links clicked, and more).
Even if you email to the same people repeatedly, you will pay the List Owner for each use.
Owners of rental lists often broadcast using white-listed email servers which means that the ISP’s (Internet Service Providers) are likely to trust emails coming from those servers and not block them as SPAM.
Rental lists are typically sourced from professional associations, trade publications, conferences/trade shows, and other response-driven sources so they can be micro-targeted based on purchasing influence, buying behaviors, and great selectivity of title selects within an organization.
Frequency control – the Owners of rental email lists often restrict the number of email campaigns sent to the addresses on their lists, typically to no more than one or two contacts per week.
Pricing can average from 25 cents to 60 cents per email address, plus set up costs, depending on the list. Please call us for specific
price quotations so we can guide you to the best targeted and best priced lists out of the thousands that are available.
Purchasing Business Email Lists
You receive the list for unlimited use either perpetually or for a generous amount of time, such as 12 months. Pay for the data once, and use it many times to establish a continuing line of communication with your best prospects.
You are responsible for the deployment of your campaign to the emails on the purchased list. It is strongly recommended that all broadcasts to purchased emails be sent out from an email service separate from y our corporate domain and dedicated purely to email marketing purposes. If you do not have the right email deployment capabilities, it can quickly become a headache.
If using a 3rd party email deployment company, be sure to confirm with the vendor that they allow purchased business email lists to be used on their platform. Many email deployment services have policies forbidding purchased email lists to be sent from their platforms. Please inquire about iScope Digital’s email broadcast services.
Fewer lists are available for outright purchase, and the frequency of contact to them is not controlled.
ISCOPE DIGITAL HELPS YOU INCREASE YOUR OPEN RATE
When sending a campaign to a business email list, many customers want to know what type of response to expect. On the average, around 5-20% of the people who receive your message will open it. From there, the number of people who click on a link in your ad or take the final step to respond can vary greatly depending on what your campaign is calling them to do.
Typically lead-generation and low-commitment offers yield higher response rates. Hard-offer, high ticket or high-commitment offers will yield lower response rates.
IScope Digital can help you increase your open rates by focusing your efforts on prospects most likely to open your email message. Business email lists can be selected by some or all of the following factors:
- Geographic location
- Sales volume
- Number of employees
- SIC Code or Industry
- Computer operating system
- Single or multi-location
- Job title
- Purchasing authority
- Job function
We will help you find the people with purchasing power within targeted companies, sorting by the job selects listed above, in addition to hundreds more.
